Just look at these two. Jamison, a hilarious good old boy through and through, had everyone cracking up all day. Caitlin, a sweet Southern blonde, smitten with her high school sweetheart. She lit a lantern for a family member who had passed. They cut their cake with his grandmother’s silver serving pieces. A bluegrass trio picked Canon in D on a violin, a banjo and a mandolin as Caitlin’s dad walked her down the aisle and he cried when he gave her away.
Tradition at every turn. I loved being a part of it.
And you know what? It poured all day. Dumped buckets. But the rain plan was pretty and warm and involved five chandeliers. And I’m so glad Terri Smith pulled these two out for a shot during a break in the weather, because with the fog and stray raindrops dripping off the spanish moss every few seconds, the plantation felt almost magical.
…more to come soon. In the meantime, big thank you to C&J’s amazing team of vendors. I think we all got poured on at one point or another, but we made it happen! These guys are amazing.
